Background and origin of TikiDog.net.
TikiDog.net began as something deeply personal.
Tiki was a guide dog who gave my wife independence, confidence, and the ability to move through the world on her own terms. When Tiki passed, we registered this domain to honor her-a small but lasting tribute to everything she made possible.
Over time, that tribute evolved into something more active.
Today, TikiDog.net functions as a technical lab and launch point-a place to design, prototype, and deploy new ideas. It's where infrastructure gets tested, systems get built, and concepts move from theory into practice. Projects here span networking, automation, and emerging technologies, with an emphasis on practical experimentation and real-world application.
At its core, the site still carries the same purpose: enabling movement, opening paths, and pushing forward.
That mission extends beyond this site. We support Guide Dogs of America , the organization that has provided Susie with her guide dogs and continues to give others the same independence and mobility. If this story resonates with you, consider learning more or supporting their work.
